I asked Jameson Nathan Jones and Jacob Pavek to write and send over a piano piece. From there, I took their pieces and warped, stretched, reversed, modular-ed...ed them... Then I brought those pieces back into the original recording, and blended. 100% of what you hear is sourced from their recordings. (Okay... 95%... I may have snuck in a subtle synth arpeggio on Golden...)
The working title for this project was 'Pianolog' - piano + analog.
Lots of fun to work with these immensely talented pianists, and friends of mine. We hope you enjoy the release!

There is something haunting about the family having zero clue about WW2 in its entirety. I remember learning about them and wondering and I still wonder now how many are still in the wilderness, driven there by atrocities or not. Many find being alone to be fear inducing. But they left and isolated out of fear to begin with. This music is just the tip of the iceberg for how haunting and emotional the situation is. It does its job as well as possible, though. This album singlehandedly convinced my wife that it was a great idea for me to have bought a turntable; it's our favorite record to listen to for a quiet, relaxing moment. Carly

Slow Meadow's S/T LP debut is a deftly layered recording. It presents a melancholic yet serene tonality. The tracks and their languid flow are wrapped in classical ambient colors. Of note is the gorgeous cello of Aimee Norris and the violin accompaniment of Andy Shelton, Joshua Ello, and Alia Gonzales. Nice introduction. Brilliant debut. Gary Figueroa
